University of Westminster hosts vintage camera exhibition
The rich mechanical click, the thrill of waiting for your pictures to develop, the art and tradition. If this is what you love about photography, then a new exhibition of vintage photographic cameras could be just the thing you\'re looking for.
Film First! opens at the University of Westminster\'s London Gallery West on Friday, May 26, and runs until Tuesday, May 30. Admission is free, and open to all.
The exhibition is organised by University staff member and photography enthusiast John Bunyan. A recent attic clearout led John to review his collection of old cameras gathered over the past 35 years. With the digital photography revolution gathering speed, he decided it was an ideal time to mount an exhibition to showcase traditional film-based cameras.
